13 January 2023Richibucto, NB, October 31st 2022 – In order to respond to the growing demands and to meet the requirements of the Local Governance Reform, the Kent Regional Services Commission has hired a new employee in the Economic Development and Tourism sector.
Ms. Marie-Paul Robichaud will hold the position of Director of Economic Development and Tourism. Her responsibilities, to name a few, are to work in conjunction with local economic development and immigration agencies, develop flexible economic goals and action plans for workforce growth, and promote tourism objectives while working with tourism stakeholders. Ms. Robichaud’s background and many years in the municipal world, as well as her time with CBDC Kent and Enterprise Kent, will be useful in her new career at the Kent Regional Service Commission. Her knowledge will be an exceptional asset to the organization and the region.
Board members and KRSC staff would like to wish a warm welcome and the best of luck to Ms. Robichaud in her new position with the organization.
The Kent Regional Service Commission has been offering its services to the population since 2013. The organization has two mandatory mandates, namely local planning and solid waste management, as well as several responsibilities in terms of regional collaboration. The KRSC is anticipating the changes imposed by the local governance reform scheduled for January 2023 by now including social inclusion and community development services as well as the community transport service.
